Overview

The meter has a compact design with BS standard, which ensures simple installation and replacement procedures. The meter is keypad based and complies with the IEC standard STS encryption algorithm. The meter information is available using the keypad and LCD(such as energy consumption, latch relay status, tamper status, remain credit status). This meter is with clear, friendly icons on LCD display. More detailed information and programming is achieved via the standard optical communication port on the front of the meter.

Easy and Secure Data Transfer 

Data transfer from a Point of Sale is made via a numeric token, which is generated using the Standard Transfer Specification (STS) encryption techniques and protocol. The token is entered into the meter via the keypad. The transaction includes: Transfer of credit to meter Changing of tariffs in the meter (if multi-tariff applicable)

Demand control 

The meter has power limit control feature. When the load is over the configured value in the meter, the meter will disconnect the power supply. Which can protect the power network safety and implement demand side management.

Low-credit Alarming 

Thru software, 3 levels of low credit thresholds can be programmed and the meter can give visible (LED indicator) or audile (buzzer) alarming when the threshold is reached.

Flexible Tariff Arrangement (optional for CTS) 

This meter support flexible and multi-tariff structure such as TOU, slab tariff, single tariff. It provides support for consumption-based (block) tariff arrangements, with up to 4 programmable kWh block thresholds. It offers standard time-based tariffs with up to 4 tariff available up to 8 day types up to 6 seasons each year up to 100 holidays each year (including routine holidays and exceptional holidays)

Anti-fraud Functions 

The meter is with antifraud functions to reduce revenue losses. The meter detects tampering such as: Meter cover open Meter terminal Reverse

Emergency Credit & Friendly Credit (configurable) 

Emergency credit is available to the great benefit of customer. Meter can be easily reconnected to mains supply by keying in specified code via keypad when emergency condition. Friendly credit is available to make sure customer can enjoy energy supply in some special days such as important holidays even the credit is exhausted.

High Performance LCD 

The acceptance or rejection of a token is shown on the LCD. It also can display the remaining credit to facilitate customer to manage energy consumption. In addition, various meter data can be displayed by keying in defined enquiry code via keypad.

Power Control Management 

  • Power supply will be disconnected automatically when The credit is exhausted. 
  • Overload occurs (the threshold is configurable) 
  • Tampering is detected

Optical communication 

As a standard feature, the meter offers an IEC62056-21 compliant optical communications port. This allows the utility to access a variety of information stored inside the meter and to upload it to a hand-held unit or PC.
